Project information
This project, developed within the Three-Dimensional Design Laboratory course, involved investigating modular systems based on load-bearing 3D structures composed of coupled forms.
Phase 1 began with the creation of five abstract modular structures, applying various coupling schemes—single connection, expansion, subdivided connection, fan, and mirror—using 2D modules inspired by Le Corbusier’s panels. These modules were replicated and combined in 3D space through operations of translation, specular reflection, rotation, and expansion. Phase 2 deepened the investigation by creating a new abstract structure that combined two coupling schemes, followed by two distinct transformations: a material transformation, which converted the abstract structure into a lizard (the objectification of an animal form); and an immaterial transformation, in which the same structure was used to create lighting scenarios, exploring projected shadows and atmospheres inspired by the fable "The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs."
The project also included the creation of information-communication panels and video documentation of the assembly process and 360° rotation.
