Project information
Developed in synergy with the Computer Engineering degree program using the PBL (Project-Based Learning) methodology, this project involved designing a compact vehicle to transport wine bottles in hard-to-reach areas, such as vineyards, wine cellars, and wine tourism venues.
The challenge—which required about a month of intensive work—involved addressing all the constraints of real-world transport: securely fastening the bottles, making it easy to load and unload them, and ensuring stability during transit.
The solution was an articulated structure featuring two modules that carry 15 bottles each (30 in total), equipped with a tilting system that stabilizes the bottles during transport and keeps them upright when the structure is opened for access.
Drawing inspiration from mechanisms such as roller coasters, fire extinguisher pins, and bird wings (for the cover), the vehicle incorporates silicone holders, a base with molded slots, and a chassis with widely spaced wheels for navigating uneven terrain.
The color palette—gray, silver, and dark red—evokes the world of wine, creating an elegant aesthetic that aligns perfectly with the context.
By far, this project demanded the most from me in terms of applying my skills, blending product design, technical thinking, functional precision, and attention to detail.
